This mobile nail-trimming service is a great idea in theory, and there’s definitely a need for it. And I will say that the first time I made an appointment with Mackenzie (in January 2026), she was both efficient and good with my cat, who can be a handful. But she has now been a no-show for all four subsequent appointments (two in March and two in May 2026), despite Facebook posts and a booking calendar indicating availability. Apparently she had car trouble on the first couple of occasions—which is fine; complications happen—but I only found that out after she had already missed the appointments and I had to text to ask. She has not offered any advance warning of or explanation for the two most recent missed appointments, although I asked her to advise me if she wasn’t going to be able to make it.

I’m a sole proprietor myself, so I understand that balls sometimes get dropped. But this level of unreliability is extreme. I’d love to be able to recommend MOBDOG, but I can’t. If you can transport your animal to a groomer for a trim, you’re much, much better off with an alternative like Zen Whiskers (for a cat) or Posh Paws (for a dog). The women who own those services are substantially more professional in their approach.
