South Shore Cat Rescue is a volunteer-run Non-Profit based in the Regina Beach & Buena Vista area in Saskatchewan and was established in 2022. Though they are based in this area they do work closely with Kannata Valley Cat Rescue & Lumsden Valley Cat Rescue.
Types of Animals they work with:
- Cats
Their Goals are:
- To increase their Foster List to help more Cats in need
- Spay & Neuter to help control stray Cat populations in the area
- Fundraise to help cover all costs required to help these Cats
They are trying very hard to help control the feline population in their area and have made quite an impact already. They have very passionate and caring volunteers. If you would like to volunteer with South Shore Cat Rescue you can help by:
- Fostering
- Temporary Fosters/Pet Sitters
- Pet Taxi/Errands
- Fundraising Events
- Adoption Events
South Shore Cat Rescue is always looking for volunteers to help foster animals as there is no short supply in animals in need.
To be a foster with South Shore Cat Rescue you need to be within a reasonable distance of Regina Beach, Buena Vista or Regina as they work with certain vets in the area and fosters need to be able to travel to these partner clinics for any medical appointments and be available for adoption events.
They do request any new potential fosters to apply through their website. They would talk with the potential foster, do a home check, let them know what the foster responsibilities are as well as what their responsibilities are.
South Shore Cat Rescue relies on donations to help rescue and care for animals in need. They are ALWAYS in need of:
- Monetary Donations for ongoing Vet Bills
- Wet & Dry Cat & Kitten Food
- Kitty Litter
- KMR (Kitten Milk Replacement)
Did you know, one female cat can have up to 22 kittens (4 or 5 litters) per year. Please have your pets spayed or neutered!
