Pets Purpose Animal Shelter Society is a Registered Charity and Non-Profit Organization located in Lloydminster. Pets Purpose was formed in 2023 and though they are located in Lloyd they also work in Cold lake Alberta, Dorintosh Saskatchewan, the County of Vermilion River and other parts of Alberta.
At Pets Purpose they believe every animal has a purpose and are committed to providing a safe space for animals that are unwanted, abandoned or in need. They will provide care, veterinary attention and love to each animal before finding them their forever homes. They strive to provide education about responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.

Pets Purpose Animal Shelter Society is always looking for volunteers to help foster animals as there is no short supply in animals in need.
To be a Foster with Pets Purpose you need to be within an hour driving distance of Lloydminster or Dorintosh, SK. Veterinary partners are located in Lloydminster and Fosters must be able to transport their Foster Animal to Lloydminster for Veterinary care. All animals in a Foster’s home must be safe, vaccinated and spay/neutered. You must have time and the ability to care for the animal and have written permission from a landlord if you do not own your home. Pets Purpose provides all supplies needed, you provide the TLC!
Pets Purpose relies on donations to help rescue and care for animals in need. They are ALWAYS in need of:
- Monetary Donations
- Purina puppy chow
- Fortiflora for dogs
- Purina dog chow
- Purina pro plan sensitive skin and stomach
- Puppy pads
