Join the SaskSPCA Gathering for Human & Animal Welfare at Dakota Dunes Casino April 11th and 12th.
Topics include:
- Impacts of animal-assisted service research
- Connects between training methodology and animal welfare
- Engaging allies in gender-based violence community education
- Exotic animal welfare
- Collaborative approaches to dog health and their communities
- Establishing boundaries through emotional regulation
Who: The Gathering invites those involved in animal health and welfare and human health and welfare. This could include animal shelter staff and volunteers, veterinary medical professionals, law enforcement, social services, animal services, municipal representatives, health care professionals, academics, students, interested members of the general public, and more!

New to the 2025 Gathering: a limited-registration educational workshop:
- Clinical manifestations of animal abuse can be difficult to identify. Through a brief lecture and guidance into case studies, you’ll gain valuable insight into the “red flags” of animal abuse. Led by forensic veterinarian Dr. Margaret Doyle, we invite you to join us for this exclusive workshop at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine from 3:00 – 6:00 pm on April 10th.
