SOS Prairie Rescue

SOS Prairie Rescue is a volunteer-driven nonprofit committed to rescuing and rehoming stray, abandoned, and surrendered cats across Saskatchewan. Founded in 2019, we fill a crucial need in rural and remote communities where resources for animal welfare are scarce. With the support of fosters, veterinarians, and compassionate volunteers, we provide these cats with the care, rehabilitation, and loving homes they deserve.

Beyond rescue, our mission is to address the root of overpopulation through programs like Beat-the-Heat, Saskatchewan’s first Spay-it-Forward initiative. This campaign makes spay and neuter services affordable and accessible, preventing thousands of unwanted litters and easing the burden on shelters. Every donation helps us offer reduced-cost procedures for low-income families and stray caregivers, bringing proactive change to communities across the province.
