Saskatoon Dog Rescue (SDR) is a Non-Profit, Volunteer-run Organization based in Saskatoon that was established in 2012. They are a foster-based organization and rescue dogs throughout Saskatchewan.

Saskatoon Dog Rescue is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of neglected and abandoned dogs across the province and work closely with other rescues, shelters, communities, and individuals to ensure all dogs find their forever homes. They also have a Spay/Neuter & Return Program to help families who have limited resources or access to proper vet care.

If you would like to volunteer with Saskatoon Dog Rescue you can do so by:

• Fostering
• Dog Sitting – looking after the foster dogs when the foster parents are away or busy
• Transport – within Saskatoon or within the province
• Fundraising Events
• Bartending – bartending at weddings, holiday parties, corporate and private events
• Adoption Events

Saskatoon Dog Rescue is always looking for volunteers to help foster animals as there is no short supply in animals in need. To become a Foster you need to be located within 60km of Saskatoon. This allows for fosters to use partner veterinary clinics, attend adoption events and meet with potential adopters. You can apply to become a Foster on their website, once your application has been approved you will receive a home check to make sure your space is suitable for a foster dog. Once the home check is complete you can sign up to take your first dog!

SDR relies on donations to help rescue and care for animals in need. They are ALWAYS in need of:

• Puppy Milk Replacement
• Pee Pads
• Collars, Leashes & Harnesses
• X-Pens
• Treats
• Toys – durable, puzzle, crinkle
• Grooming Supplies
• Food/Water Bowls & Slow Feeders
