Saskatoon SPCA
Description
The Saskatoon SPCA is a registered charitable organization that has been providing a safe shelter and finding happy homes for companion animals in Saskatoon and surrounding area since 1968. They provide care for over 4000 animals annually from Saskatoon and area. The Saskatoon SPCA cares for all types of companion animals from dogs and cats to exotics such as small mammals, birds, fish and reptiles and helps find them new homes.
As a registered charitable organization, the Saskatoon SPCA relies on the generosity of individual and corporate donors as well as volunteers to help at events and around the shelter with care of the animals. Along with providing care for so many animals, the Saskatoon SPCA provides the public with adoption programs, pet safekeeping, pound services, lost & found, humane education programs and volunteer programs. They also promote the enactment of laws to protect all animals from cruelty, neglect & abuse as the Saskatoon Animal Control Agency* and City Pound are located within the Saskatoon SPCA.
*The Animal Control Agency will no longer be operating within the Saskatoon SPCA as of April 1st, 2022
