Prairie Sky Dog Rescue

Prairie Sky Dog Rescue is a Non-Profit, Volunteer-run Organization based in Regina and Weyburn that was established in 2010. They are a foster-based organization and rescue dogs throughout southern Saskatchewan.

Types of Animals they work with: Dogs

Prairie Sky Dog Rescue rescues dogs of all types, from a variety of situations, assess them, and place them in foster homes until they can find them permanent, loving homes that are a good fit for each individual. While dogs are in their care, they receive proper veterinary treatment and work on training and dealing with any behavioral issues to make the transition into their adoptive homes as successful as possible. After dogs are adopted, Prairie Sky Dog Rescue continues to work with the new families to provide support, if needed.

In addition to rescuing dogs, their organization educates and advocates for a range of issues including pet overpopulation (the importance of spaying and neutering), breed discrimination, dog bite prevention, and animal welfare laws. Prairie Sky Dog Rescue Inc. is a passionate group of dog lovers and they hope to help dogs in any way they can!

• Collect Silent Auction Items for Burger Nights
• Bottle Drives

Prairie Sky Dog Rescue is always looking for volunteers to help foster animals as there is no short supply in animals in need. To become a Foster you need to be located within Regina, Weyburn or the close surrounding area. This allows for fosters to use partner veterinary clinics, attend adoption events and meet with potential adopters. You can apply to become a Foster on their website.

Prairie Sky Dog Rescue relies on donations to help rescue and care for animals in need. They are ALWAYS in need of:

• Monetary Donations to help cover costs of Vet bills
• Wet & Dry dog and puppy food
• Durable Toys, including Treat dispensing Toys
• Bully Sticks & other durable chews
• Puppy Pads
• Laundry detergent & paper towel
