New Hope Dog Rescue is a volunteer-run Registered Charity based in Saskatoon and was established in 2003. Though they are based in Saskatoon they have volunteers, foster homes, partner vets, as well as partner organizations and communities throughout north central Saskatchewan.

Types of Animals they work with: Dogs

Their Mission is to provide every dog in our care a safe, foster-based environment, while promoting the human-animal bond through outreach and educational initiatives.

Their Objectives include:

• Reduce and resolve dog overpopulation in Saskatchewan
• Provide safe foster-based environment to rescued dogs
• Increase pet retention through behavior training, spay/neuter First Nations program, animal safekeeping program
• Provide necessary medical care
• Educate the public

New Hope Dog Rescue has helped more than 4300 dogs find new homes in the past 21 years. They firmly believe in the importance of the human-animal bond. With this in mind they partner with two Saskatchewan First Nation Communities to provide spay/neuter and basic veterinary care to owned dogs in the community so they can stay with their families. They also have two animal safekeeping programs with the core belief that they can help people and their dogs be reunited after going through a difficult situation. Through these 3 programs New Hope has helped more than 150 dogs be reunited with their families.
