Border Paws Animal Shelter (previously know as the Lloydminster & District SPCA) is a non-profit organization and animal shelter located in Lloydminster. They also act as the city pound and take in stray/roaming animals in hopes of reuniting them with their owners.

Types of Animals they work with: Dogs, Cats, Rabbits & Other Small Animals

Border Paws provides an Education Program for kids. This includes:

• Shelter Tours where students experience ‘A Day in the Life of a Shelter Animal’ which includes a tour of the facility and visiting with the animals. Tours are about an hour in length and cover the importance of providing an enriched environment for animals while in the shelter.
• In-Class Presentations & Activities which vary depending on the grade covering topics including: responsible pet ownership, dog and cat body language, careers in animal care and the importance of spaying/neutering your pet. Presentations are approximately 1 hour
