Regina Cat Rescue
Description
Regina Cat Rescue (RCR) is a volunteer-run Registered Charity and Non-Profit Organization based in Regina and was established in 1982. Regina Cat Rescue’s legal name is People for Animals of Saskatchewan Inc. and are a member organization of Humane Canada.
Types of Animals they work with: Cats
Their Vision is that all cats in Regina are cared for and valued.
Their Mission is to sterilize and care for cats from Regina’s streets, facilitate adoptions and promote responsible pet guardianship.
RCR rescues cats and kittens found on the streets and provides them with necessary veterinary care such as spay/neuter surgeries, deworming, identification, vaccination and any rehabilitation necessary for adoption into loving homes. They also trap, neuter/spay, and return feral cats back into colonies, followed by long-term care and feeding by dedicated volunteers. Finally, they feel strongly that education is the key to success in addressing the severe plight of cat overpopulation in Regina. They educate the public on the importance of sterilization, responsible pet care, and the benefits of well-maintained community cat colonies.
