Description
SCAT Street Cat Rescue is a Registered Charity based in Saskatoon and was established in 1996. Their focus is promoting quality of care and quality of life for street cats through fostering, adoption, and TNRM (Trap, Neuter, Return, Manage) programs.
Types of Animals they work with: Cats
SCAT brings in over 700 cats and kittens into their care every year and rely on donors, volunteers, fosters, partner clinics and staff. They do not receive municipal or government funding and so rely on donations, fundraising activities and corporate grants.

How to Volunteer?
- Fostering
- Volunteering at the PetSmart Adoption Centre – volunteer once/week or once/month -> duties include minor cleaning and letting the cats and kittens out to play
- Fundraising – helping with silent auctions and bake sales, annual fundraisers and more
- Social Media – creating content for Facebook and the SCAT website
- Education – spread the word about what they do by volunteering at different events such as Expos
- Adoption Events
- Create – join the Kitty Krafters 4 Street Cat Rescue, a group of dedicated volunteers who knit, crochet, sew and create items for sale at events
